High flow performance exhaust systems for diesel Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet improve exhaust flow, reduce exhaust gas temperature (EGT), and improve turbocharger response. Installation of a performance exhaust system should be matched to a high flow air filter or air intake kit for best results.
FORD EXHAUST SYSTEMS
6.9L/7.3L IDI - Banks Turbo system
94-97 7.3L PowerStroke – Turbo down tube Replace the flat pipe with a round one. This is a must if a performance chip has been added.
99-03 7.3L PowerStroke – Recommend minimum CAT Back system (99 Model year was equipped with a CAT) Muffler is restrictive. Even greater improvements can be obtained with a complete system.
03-07 6.0L Powerstroke Cat Back Systems
DODGE EXHAUST SYSTEMS
89-91 – Complete system
92-93 – Complete system if any performance modifications are being done.
94-98 12 Valve – Recommend minimum CAT Back system if any performance modifications are done. With high horsepower modifications a complete exhaust system from the turbo back will yield greater improvements.
98-02 24 valve – Recommend resonator back of any performance modifications are done. With high horsepower modification, a complete exhaust system will yield greater imporovements.
03-07 5.9L Cat Back exhuast system
07-09 6.7L Filter back exhaust system
CHEVROLET GMC DIESEL EXHAUST SYSTEMS
92-00 6.5L – Turbo downtube is restrictive. With horsepower improvements a complete exhaust system will yield greater improvements.
01-04 6.6L LB7 Duramax – Complete exhaust system. If you have a short canopy or tonneau cover, we recommend the Banks exhaust system to reduce resonant noise.
04.5-07 6.6L Duramax - Cat Back exhaust system
Since diesel exhaust systems rarely “rust out” (they don't use salt on the roads here), aluminized steel will normally last the life of the vehicle. While stainless steel will maintain a “cleaner” exterior appearance over the years.
